Chingay Singapore 2008

This year, Kowloon Club was real honoured to be invited to participate in the Chingay Celebration here is Singapore. Chingay was introduced as a substitute for a different kind of noise: firecrackers. In 1972, the government banned firecrackers after a fatal explosion in the Lunar New Year period killed two people. The ban, although necessary, disappointed many who felt that it dampened the festive spirit.

So now, each year they will celebrate Chinese New Year with a Chingay celebration.

Kowloon Club used the theme of a "Pau San" Buns mountain as the Remote islands in HK celebrates the Buddhist festival with a game like that. People race to get to the top and the buns, the higher the buns are, the higher the score.
